Module 1: What is Social Value?
There’s no single universal agreed definition of social value. Different sectors and organisations interpret it differently. But at its core social value moves beyond what’s easy to measure (like money or carbon) and focuses on the real needs and experiences of people and communities.

Social Value, CSR and ESG
Many have asked the question, 'How is social value any different to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)?'. Lets unravel those here.....

Social Value Principles
With Social Value being a fairly new concept and tools and platforms emerging there is the principles for social value are evolving. However, an organisation called - The Social Value International - have put 8 key principles together for social value, which help to channel what social value aims to deliver. These are discussed in this module.

The TOMs System
The TOMs System is a well know system to help qualify and quantify Social Value. In this module, you will learn the key components of TOMs, what defines it and how it works.

Key Metrics and Evidence of Impact
The growth of the number of platforms that can measure and report on Social Value has grown exponentially in the last few years. It can be daunting task if you are asked to vet out these platforms and decide which one is suitable for your organisation. This module will take you through how these platforms work.
